January Update!


The Great Revision has arrived!

Part 1, actually. There was so much to do that we decided to make two patches out of it! ๐Ÿฑโ€๐Ÿ‘ค

This month's update is mostly technical, with only a few scene adjustments. A large number of outstanding bugs were fixed that required deep rewrites of some parts of the engine. Everything should be a bit more responsive and clean now too. 

We're also removing minigames for now. This will allow more focus to be put on the quests. In the future they might be reintroduced, but in a completely rewritten form. They might even become an entirely different game...?

Next month we'll be doing quest revisions and maybe even adding in some new features. That will bring us up to chapter II, and onto a new era. ๐Ÿค–

Patch Notes

  •     Removed market minigame.
  •     Slight rework of market intro.
  •     Reworked some of the very early dialogue in the intro.
  •     UI should now be properly transparent during the intro scenes.
  •     Most UI elements should now be centered where appropriate.
  •     Character quest plates no longer visible during the intro.
  •     Rebuilt a number of UI elements to enable advanced animations.
  •     Added additional effects to various UI elements.
  •     Relationship values with characters now clamped to -99 to 99.
  •     Tooltips now use a standard font/weight, windows and placement have been adjusted.
  •     Changed how location data is handled in the game.
  •     Changed font for main date display.
  •     Optimized some UI elements so they should be a little more responsive.
  •     Some side images are now slightly off-center. This is a temporary.

  •     Fixed 'phantom' UI being overlaid onto a clone of itself.
  •     Fixed layering issue that causes some buttons to move around the screen.
  •     Fixed crash occurring when working at Agroponics.
  •     Fixed quest-preview not working for the market.
  •     Fixed crash caused when dying.
  •     Fixed issue with date display button not being transparent.
  •     Fixed issue causing emails with custom dates not sending.
  •     Fixed issue that led to a 'New Game' resuming at an old story position.
